While there are several sites out there that are free, there are a few that I invest in every year and actually don't mind at all! :) Here are just a few...
Raz-kids is an interactive online leveled library for kids to access and view. It has everything from animations, read alouds, recording opportunities and comprehension checks!
Reading eggs is an online interactive site that supports one- on-one learning focusing on phonics, sight words, skills, strategies, fluency, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension and a range of writing skills.
Click N' Read Phonics is another interactive online site that focuses on the fundamentals of phonics with a twist of Looney Tunes!
IXL is also one of my favorite interactive sites that I often use to support word problems and isolated skills. Did you hear that IXL is working on including Language Arts?! Woohoo! Can't wait!
I am an advocate for teachers and kiddos alike and am always seeking innovative approaches for promoting active learning in today's classrooms.
