I'm always looking for literacy ideas not only for my kiddos, but for myself and the teachers I work with. Keeping up with trends is vital to our profession and also imperative for us to continue being prosperous in the education sector. But let's face it- every time we blink there is some new product, approach, adoption or system. The toughest part is sifting through what is "great and useful" and what is "obsolete and useless". Organization is key and a nifty site that I love using is Symbaloo! Symbaloo is a great tool to "organize" sites that you like to visit most in a visual manner!
I've created a Symbaloo that houses literacy sites (whether it be literacy, writing, resources or technology related) to give me a "quick glance" for references and thought I'd pass it along for others to use as well! :)
Symbaloo can be used for various topics or specific topics e.g. building a symbaloo strictly for word work sites, balanced literacy, interactive sites, teacher resources, student resources, parent resources etc.
It's a GREAT way to share trendy resources with others in a visual and organized way!
Make Symbaloo a way you share ideas too!
